Melania Trump humiliated: FLOTUS suffers huge outfit fail and blames event organisers

MELANIA TRUMP failed to wear a red ribbon badge while giving a speech at the Red Ribbon Rally in Virginia alongside Breaking Bad actor Dean Norris, who played DEA Special Agent Hank Schrader as they campaigned against drug use.

The First Lady wore a black dress but did not wear the metal pin with the red ribbon symbol on it which other people at the event had. Melania was defended by East Wing staff who said she hadn’t received a pin in advance of the event. Mr Norris, who was wearing a pin, attended the Drug Enforcement Administration's National Red Ribbon Rally to promote the upcoming Red Ribbon week.

At the event, Melania warned families of the dangers of smoking E-cigarettes and vaping.

Speaking to the crowd, Melania said: “I am so pleased to be here and for the opportunity to talk about the importance of being drug-free and helping to share the message of Red Ribbon week.

“Today is an opportunity to be proactive in our efforts to eliminate drug use and addiction among our youth.

“For Red Ribbon week, students can sign a pledge that, if honoured, will lead to a lasting positive impact on their lives and the lives of their friends and peers.

“We need to continue encouraging teenagers and young adults that have fallen into drug addiction to be brave enough to admit it, to talk about it, and to get help.

“This also includes addiction associated with e-cigarettes and vaping.

“It is important to me that we all work to educate children and families about the dangers associated with this habit. Marketing this addictive product to children must stop.”

The awkward moment comes as the first lady was mocked on social media after she shared a controversial message with her millions of followers on Twitter.

The FLOTUS spoke of how she met boy scouts and explored the National Elk Refuge in Wyoming. She said during the visit she “observed the natural beauty of our lands” before sharing a number of images from the outing.

However, due to her husband and US President Donald Trump’s views on the environment, Melania was trounced on social media.

Her initial post said: “Yesterday I met Jackson District boy scouts at the elk antler arches in town square learning about their conservation efforts w/ Nat’l Elk Refuge.

“Explored #WY on Snake River w/ 4th graders observing the natural beauty of our lands.”

But following the post, users of Twitter turned on the 49-year-old.

One wrote: "You know, Donald has no respect for our national parks. You know that, right?”

Another wrote: “Natural beauty which Trump is trying to destroy in record time.”

A third added: “Hopefully they explained to you what your husband is doing to our national parks and you'll speak out about it.”
