Boris Johnson 'willing to use Remainer trickery' to deliver Brexit, young Brexiteer claims

BREXITEER Tom Harwood believes Boris Johnson will use “Remainer trickery” to take the fight back to them and ensure Brexit is delivered.

Brexiteer and commentator Tom Harwood insisted Remainers would be “thoroughly crushed” in a general election as he insisted Boris would be proactive in preventing Remainers delaying Brexit further. Mr Harwood added despite the protests against the Government over the last few weeks support for Boris Johnson and delivering Brexit was strong throughout the country. In an interview with Express.co.uk, he insisted that Mr Johnson’s Government would continue to fight back against Remainer regardless of “trickery” designed to tie the Prime Minister’s hand.

He said: “What we have seen over the last few weeks is that Number 10 is willing to be a lot more proactive in its attempts to try and get this referendum result respected.

“It is willing to do the same sort of trickery that we have seen Remainers engaging in for the last few months really.

“We have seen them ride absolute roughshod over our constitution in terms of overturning the order paper and having coups against the executive.

“Now we are seeing the executive kicking back and I think a lot of Brexiteers up and down this country feel like they have got someone now in that building behind me on their side which is quite nice.

“It is good to feel that it is not just an absolute battering of that vote by Remainers in Parliament, there is actually some kickback too.

“So the way that is going to work is that there will either be a supreme whipping operation to prevent a new law or a no-confidence vote.

“Remember MPs have actually voted for this twice now in EU withdrawal legislation that the legal default is that we leave the European Union at the end of October.

“And as long as that can Remain, as long as there can be no changes, that is what happens.

“That is option number one but if Parliament are playing tricky games there is always that chance that we will go back to the people.

“The Tories have a 10 or 11 point lead in every poll that has been conducted this week.

“What we are hearing in terms of the more shrill voices around Westminster, some of the middle-class protests that we have seen, basically just inside this postcode.

“That is not representative of the country at large.

“In the country at large what we are seeing is huge support for this government, double-digit leads and in an election, Remainers will be thoroughly crushed."

Mr Harwood remains confident that despite the latest bill that would insist Boris Johnson must ask the EU for an extension if he cannot get a Brexit deal, the Prime Minister will find a way to deliver a Brexit that will satisfy Leave supporters.
