Speaking after being announced, Anneka revealed that she had very little experience with dancing.

However, the presenter did reveal that she was really excited by the challenge to appear on the show.
She added: “I’m feeling recklessly excited. Strictly has always been my autumn’s entertainment and now I’m part of it! My children will probably leave the country.”

However, she first rose to fame in 1982 when she landed the role of the jump-suited skyrunner on Channel 4’s Treasure Hunt.
The show was a hugely popular format which saw contestants solving clues to win a cash prize and was even nominated for a BAFTA.
